Wednesday March 5, 2008

Well it's hump day folks. Half way through the week. Can I just tell you how much I am loving the sunshine we have had so far this week? And the fact that it is staying light longer? Seems to boost my energy a little, lord knows I need all the help I can get in the energy dept. LOL! Not much going on here this week, I haven't scrapbooked at all. Feeling some withdrawel there, but not to worry, the weekend is coming and I have volunteered to help Angie with a project she is working on as well as some gift projects that I seriously need to get busy on. I started the day with a bit of a headache, but thanks to the miracle of Midrin it is starting to ease off. Our house seemed to be really popular last night, Todd Tihart (sp) called, and then someone called wanting money for cancer research. Funny thing is, they always call for Mrs. Wolff and I cannot lie-I tell them they have the wrong number. Isn't that hilarious? Unfortunately they try to give me the spiel anyway, even though I am not who they called for. Then Rich's cell rang, something about Grandma Wisner being sick (of course being a man he got no details) it was one of his aunt's wanting to know if he had talked to Grandma about who was going to take care of his mother. And so the drama will begin. Maybe it is cold of me, but I kinda feel like since they had his mother in assisted living, and his grandma decided that she should take care of his mother...it is not really up to him who is going to take care of his mother. I know that in reality it will fall to him, but it really doesn't seem fair. Maybe today he will find out what is wrong with Grandma? From what he told me, his aunt said that she was resting at home with her feet up, and that she was to see her Dr. today, so I guess we shall see. Thats about it for me today, hope everyone has a great day!

Monday March 3, 2008

Good morning all!
Sorry to have been such a bad bad blogger last week. I had a wonderful weekend, got to spend time with three of my favorite people in the whole wide world. (Chase, Amy, & Aaron) We started the weekend off with dinner at the Poplar resteraunt in Andover, we had not eaten there before and I definately recommend it. Chase said his pizza was really good. (he's a pizza connesour you know, LOL) Saturday we got up and started the housework as usual-yuck. Then we met Amy & Aaron at Felipes (after her visit to Amber) for dinner. We got our favorite waitress-always a plus, and those pockets sent from heaven also known as Sopapilla's. Sunday we got up and I made peanut butter chip pancakes with bacon and sausage. Amy & I watched Chase teach Aaron the finer points of playing Wii-he had not played before. I am pretty sure he is hooked and had Amy not insisted that it was time to go home, they might still be here playing. Amy and I did leave for just a short time so that I could take her to the Antique store just outside of Augusta that was supposed to have some items that she might be interested in for the nursery. After that we had to wave goodbye :( and send them on their way, I am sure A. Helen (the cat) was probably worried that they had been gone so long. So, I sat down for a moment, only to realize that the rest of my day could involve watching "the races" and decided that Chase and I should go see a movie. And even though Rich was extremely torn as to whether or not he should stay and watch "the races" or go to the Warren and watch The Spiderwick Cronicles" with us, he finally decided to stay home. The movie was pretty good, I always enjoy spending time with Chase, just he and I. We ate popcorn with our favorite toppings on it, and talked and laughed and just had a generally fun time together. When we walked outside from the movie we found that the weather had taken a turn for the worse. We made a mad dash to the car, stopping only once to chase my baseball cap that blew off my head. Since it was already almost 6:00, we decided to stop and get dinner at 2 Brothers instead of trying to cook when we got home. When we left the bbq place it was raining even harder and the wind was blowing like crazy!! I turned the radio to KFDI, but once we started driving on Kellogg, it was raining SO hard I could not even hear the radio. Normally weather doesn't really freak me out too bad, but I have to be honest-driving home last night Chase in the car with me, I was seriously worried. All I could think about was those poor people a few years ago that were washed off the road just outside of Emporia. I was praying the whole time I was driving, Lord please let us make it home OK. Had Chase not been in the car with me, I probably would not have been nearly as nervous. But he answered my prayers and we made it home safe and sound. Wrapped up a wonderful weekend, only to start another week again.
